Facebook has been blocked in Iran. The countries news agency says that the move is only trying to stop supporters of reformist candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi from using the site for his campaign.

Wolframalpha.com is a new website that does anything from complex mathematical problems to giving you information on movies, countries, etc.
Sling has come out with an iPhone app. It costs $29.99 and allows you to watch the movies you have saved on your DVR on your iPhone. However, you need wifi to use it and won't be able to watch over 3g connection.

It is being said that Apple is planning on buying Twitter for $700 million.
A Canadian hardware company, Rona, has come up with a new, creative advertisement campaign. What they have decided to do is hang a banner under the Nano Chromatic billboards to make it look like the paint from the chromatics are dripping into buckets. The purpose of this is to promote Rona's new recycling program for paint.

RealDVD's new program allows you to burn DVDs onto your hard-drive. It is basically a movie version of what iTunes lets you do with CDs. Soon after the program was made available, the movie industry hit them with a lawsuit and made them stop selling the program. Most people seem to agree that this should be legal. The DVDs that are being burned have already been legally paid for.

A company called Polar Rose is offering face recognition to Flickr. People can upload photos and Flickr will group faces together once the user has identified each face. Then the appropriate faces will be tagged in future uploaded photos. Whether or not the program will work accurately is not known.

The iPhone 3.0 contains new features, such as a new copy and paste feature that has been requested for for so long. You can select and drag two bars around the text you would like to select and the option to cut, copy, or paste will come up. You can switch apps and still be able to copy and paste the text. Microsoft has released Internet Explorer 8. It has added security improvements, a private browsing option, and more.
Many people love to go to sleep listening to their iPod touches or iPhones and would like a way to get the iPod to go to sleep with them rather than staying on all night. If you go to the timer app, you can select a time, and than hit "when timer ends" where you can choose the "iPod sleep" option. When the timer ends the iPod will go to sleep with you.

iPhone may be getting an update so you can copy and paste on the phone.
There is a new app out for New Yorkers called "iHave to Pee" and it gives lists of all the nearest restrooms. It tells you which of the restrooms are public or for paying customers and even has reviews of all the restrooms so you can tell ahead of time.

Apple has released another iPod Shuffle. This one can speak to u and read out the names of the songs. It is about half the size of the last iPod Shuffle. It carries 4 gigabytes of music and is $79. It is available now.

There is a program that you can buy for your laptop for $30. If your laptop is reported stolen, it will continually say "stolen laptop" and have a siren going off. The only way to stop it is to go to a website and shut it off yourself.
You can use twitter on your phone using text messages. If you enter your number on Twitter under settings and text your messages to 40404 than the messages will be uploaded to your Twitter account. You can also receive updates from the people you follow by texting "on" to the same number or "off" to stop receiving them.

I made a logo design in my computer class to represent me. I decided to go with a robotic design because I am currently taking robotics and engineering courses. I used a robotic controller to represent robotics. I used a sans serif font to show a hard working nature. The "building the future" is in a script font to be informative and is in red to stand out from the text above and beneath it. The font for "robotics engineering" is the same as the initials to mirror the initials. It is the same dark gray color I used in the antenna of the controller.
IBM has created a vest that you can wear that helps you dodge bullets. It isn't bullet proof, but it does calculations and actually moves you out of the way of bullets coming towards you.
