Google Earth is now giving you business listings. If you turn on the business layer on Google Earth, you can see listings of local restaurants, bars, etc. If you click on the icon, you can get anything such as phone numbers, business hours, etc. This is available on the iPhone or your desktop.

A new Zune will be out later this Fall and it will be touch screen. The ZuneHD will have an HD radio tuner, an OLED touch screen, and it will use a version of internet explorer for its touch screen.

Facebook has been blocked in Iran. The countries news agency says that the move is only trying to stop supporters of reformist candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi from using the site for his campaign.

Wolframalpha.com is a new website that does anything from complex mathematical problems to giving you information on movies, countries, etc.
Sling has come out with an iPhone app. It costs $29.99 and allows you to watch the movies you have saved on your DVR on your iPhone. However, you need wifi to use it and won't be able to watch over 3g connection.

It is being said that Apple is planning on buying Twitter for $700 million.
A Canadian hardware company, Rona, has come up with a new, creative advertisement campaign. What they have decided to do is hang a banner under the Nano Chromatic billboards to make it look like the paint from the chromatics are dripping into buckets. The purpose of this is to promote Rona's new recycling program for paint.

Amazon has announced the Kindle DX. The new device has a larger 9.7 inch display, storage for 3,500 books, auto-rotating screen, and a built in PDF reader. You can purchase it online for $489.

The new Blackberry Storm is scheduled to be released sometime in September. The rumor is it will support Wifi and have a click-screen. Both of these were complaints with the first generation of Blackberry Storms.

The world's toughest phone will be released this summer. It has rubber around the ends with space in between the screen and the LCD, making it harder to crack. It can survive more than 20 g-forces. It is water-proof, dust-proof, contains 15 hours of talk time, has GPS, and has a 2 megapixel camera.

RealDVD's new program allows you to burn DVDs onto your hard-drive. It is basically a movie version of what iTunes lets you do with CDs. Soon after the program was made available, the movie industry hit them with a lawsuit and made them stop selling the program. Most people seem to agree that this should be legal. The DVDs that are being burned have already been legally paid for.
