If you have a gmail account, you can change the settings to be able to send text messages from the account. Under settings you need to enable it, and then you can begin sending and receiving texts from your computer.

There is a feature that you can set up on your gmail account that makes you do math problems so that you have to think before sending out any emails. It can ensure that you're not drunk and/or force you to think before sending emails that maybe you don't actually want to send out.
Scientists are working on TV screens that can bend. Maybe in the future you will be able to put a TV screen on a T-shirt!

By 2011, it is possible that we may be able to vote from our cell phones. Voting via cell phone is a great idea, but in order to do it, you need a specific type of chip in your phone. Even though there is this catch, the idea is headed in the right direction.
A researcher in Toronto created a female android. It's name is Aiko. It can speak a bit of English and is able to recognize faces. It can also tell the weather!

I made a logo design in my computer class to represent me. I decided to go with a robotic design because I am currently taking robotics and engineering courses. I used a robotic controller to represent robotics. I used a sans serif font to show a hard working nature. The "building the future" is in a script font to be informative and is in red to stand out from the text above and beneath it. The font for "robotics engineering" is the same as the initials to mirror the initials. It is the same dark gray color I used in the antenna of the controller.
IBM has created a vest that you can wear that helps you dodge bullets. It isn't bullet proof, but it does calculations and actually moves you out of the way of bullets coming towards you.

At lala.com you are able to download songs for 10 cents, but the downside is you add them to a playlist and are only able to play them on a browser.
At lifehacker.com you can get a small sticker that can stick to the back of your phone that reads "Reward if Found" and you can put your email on it. If your phone is found someone can email you and if they return your phone you can give them a reward for it.

People are working on combining a phone and a credit card. This could be useful because you wouldn't have to carry around both a phone and a credit card.
There is also a 3D business card, so you can have more than one photos on your card.
Your house plant can have it's own Twitter account! There is a device that can be placed in your house plant and when it needs to be watered it will automatically send a Tweet to Twitter.

Animoto.com is a website that allows you to put all your pictures into a 30 second video. If you would like to make the movie longer you can pay $30 a year for a wider range of video options.
Lots of people fish for information on the internet, and there are many ways to prevent it. Always check URLs before typing information in on the sites because it may be a fake website.

If you purchased a 30 gigabyte Zune in 2006, chances are it froze up or broke. Microsoft's website has ways to fix some of these problems. They say that the Zune commited suicide.
Wikipedia got a $6 million donation and are now able to keep the site up for another year.
At clipnabber.com you can take urls from video sharing sites such as youtube, google videos, and blip and download them.
